Mysterious Disappearing Acts In The “Triangle of Death”

In 1937, the famous aviator Amelia Earhart disappeared somewhere over the Pacific Ocean! It seemed like she simple vanished into thin air without any trace.
Amelia was making an attempt to fly around-the-world, and her mysterious disappearance is still a cause of curiosity for many. A massive number of people still search for her on the Internet. For example, if you search with the keyword “Amelia Earhart”, it will pull up around 56,50,000 items. Even after 78 years she has not faded from our memories, and the curiosity to know about her has not diminished.
Besides Amelia’s celebrity status, this vanishing act became even more famous because of the place where it took place; the infamous and mythical Bermuda Triangle. If you draw a straight line from Bermuda Island to Miami, Florida and from there to Puerto Rico, it will take the shape of a triangle. It is said to have swallowed numerous planes, ships and people, and were never found.

Facts About Bermuda Triangle:

1. The great Christopher Columbus was the first person to bring notice to Bermuda Triangle. He documented in his journals stating that as soon as his ship reached the triangle, the compass stopped working. He also reported seeing a fireball in the sky.

2. In 1840, a ship named “Rosalie” was found floating in the Bermuda sea. The ship seemed to be in a good condition as there were no leaks or damages. Everything appeared intact except for the people, who were missing.

3. During the past several decades, more than 100 planes and ships simply disappeared with no trace of the remains or debris. Even scarier is that over 1000 people had lost their lives. However, their bodies or any personal belongings could not be found.

4. Bermuda Triangle is one of those rare places in the world where the compass never point towards Magnetic North. Instead, it point towards true north, which is likely to create confusion. This is perhaps the reason as to why so many ships and airplanes lost their course.

5. During their flight, when the planes still had radio contact with the tower, the pilots said their compasses were spinning out of control. They also reported yellow, hazy skies and also the ocean looked strange.

6. In the history of Bermuda Triangle, one of the biggest losses took place in 1945 when the U.S Aircraft Flight 19 disappeared. The plane was carrying 14 men from Fort Lauderdale, Florida to the island of Bimini. After around 90 minutes, the plane reported that the compass was not working. Thereafter all the communication was lost. The plane could not be found. It did not end there; the three planes that flew for their rescue disappeared too. Famous Hollywood director Steven Spielberg captured the story of Flight 19 in his movie “Close Encounters of the Third Kind.”

7. Due to endless and mysterious disappearances, the island got the dubious name “Devil’s Triangle”.
8. Many experts are of the opinion that a deep ocean current that starts in the Gulf of Mexico and flows across the Atlantic Ocean and through the Bermuda Triangle may have caused all these disappearances.

9. Pilot Bruce Gernon claimed about a Time Travel Loop when flying over Bermuda. According to his statement, Bruce had lost 28 minutes when his plane got into a time-warping cloud tunnel. During those minutes, the plane disappeared from radars. It later re-emerged in Miami Beach.

10. Scientists, Paul Weinzweig and Pauline Zalitzki have confirmed that the ancient city “Atlantis” is lying beneath the ocean in Bermuda Triangle. According to them, the city was flooded due to rising waters, and it most likely happened towards the end of the last Ice Age, approximately 12,000 years ago.

    In your first sentence, you state that Emilia Earhart disappeared somewhere over the PACIFIC OCEAN. However, in the seventh sentence, you state her disappearance took place in the Bermuda Triangle (which is in the ATLANTIC OCEAN). You should change the name of the ocean in the first sentence.
