Fact 8: The normal digestion time for a light carbohydrate meal is two hours while in the case of a heavy, fatty meal, this duration becomes six hours.

Fact 9: The major portion of digestion takes place in the small intestine which absorbs up to 90 percent of food particles.

Fact 10: The most interesting fact about the digestive system is that the large intestine is smaller in length as compared to the short intestine. The terms “large” and “small” indicate the width of the intestine which is much more distinguished in the case of the large intestine.
